She sees a Woman. The Woman watches Fox’s every move, every breath, every tremor. Fox’s gaze rests upon her - a Woman trying to become Fox…
Through storytelling accompanied by beautiful guitar music, creative writing, theatre techniques and imaginative discussion we will explore the symbolism of the magical creature Fox and dive deep into story…

We will then face the notion of ‘crisis of faith’ and explore the compelling realism and helpfulness of the Christian narrative in the face of suffering and death.

(IN SITU) Creative Writing Day at Hyning Monastery
Venue: Monastery of Our Lady of Hyning (map)
In the beautiful setting of Hyning Monastery, this retreat day draws on the deep-rooted Christian reverence for the earth and connects scripture, creative writing and nature with personal reflection and prayer. Exploring our God-given nature which embodies creativity, the day offers an opportunity for creative writing (poetry, free writing etc) and the practice of a contemplative way of seeing the natural world through the poetry of the Gerard Manley Hopkins. All are welcome, no writing experience is necessary.
Cost £30. (Includes refreshments, lunch and tea/cake in the afternoon.)
